Enemies now have colour. They don’t blend yet, it’s simply set RGBA values for each type. Ranged are blue, speed are yellow, health are green, and damage/regular cells are red. In addition to this, the gene values you collect now give passive bonuses that scale linearly. Ranged gives additional fire rate, health gives damage resistance, speed gives passive speed and dodge distance increase, and damage gives extra bullet damage.
Right now the explosive bullets appear to be quite overpowered. It used to be the laser, but since we’ve nerfed it we’ve found it more useful to simply hold onto your ranged genes and use the passive attack speed increase.
