A few big visible changes and a bunch of invisible ones.
We’ve got walls, and some scrolling textures to make it look like you’re travelling down the tube. Objects are moving up towards the camera, sometimes interacting with the player and enemy cells. The player can now charge and use explosive bullets, both of which are still using placeholder models until we have pretty particle effects to put in their place.
In addition to that, we’ve added a few more enemy behaviours. If a cell is infected by a strain with an extremely high speed and damage gene values, it will become a kamikaze cell. These will detect the player from a long range and accelerate quickly towards them, exploding after a certain time. A cell with high health and speed values will gain the ability to self-replicate, something which will almost certainly need to be nerfed as the large amounts of enemies will clearly cause frame rate issues. Enemies with high damage and health will become immobile mine enemies who will self-destruct if the player wanders too close.
